Bharat Forge’s defence business -- Kalyani Strategic Systems’ wholly owned subsidiary -- Agneyastra Energetics has started construction of strategic defence manufacturing facility near Madakasira in Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh.
Spread across more than 1,000 acres, the integrated campus will be developed with a planned investment of Rs 1,500 crore over the next 2-4 years. Designed with advanced manufacturing technologies, high-safety testing infrastructure, and specialised logistics capabilities, the facility will significantly enhance India’s indigenous capabilities in advanced energetics and ammunition systems critical to modern defence and aerospace applications.
The project is expected to generate around 800 direct jobs and around 2,500 indirect employment opportunities, contributing to regional economic growth while reinforcing Andhra Pradesh’s emergence as a preferred hub for aerospace and defence manufacturing.
Bharat Forge is engaged in manufacturing of close die and open die forging, crankshafts, front axle beams, steering knuckle, connecting rods, rocker arm and many more components.
