Vodafone Idea has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement and a Share Purchase Agreement on May 20, 2026, for acquisition of not less than 26% paid-up equity share capital of MTK Quantum Green Energy, a special purpose vehicle formed for the purpose of owning and operating the Captive Power Plant. The cost of acquisition shall be Rs 4.33 crore, to be completed in one or more tranches.
The objective of acquisition is to comply with regulatory requirement for captive power plants under the provisions of Electricity Act, 2003 and Indian Electricity Rules, 2005 and procurement of cost-effective renewable energy.
