FIIs stood as net sellers in equities as per May 21 data: NSDL

The FIIs as per Thursday's data were net sellers in equity segment, while they were net buyers in debt segment, according to data released by the NSDL.

In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 14134.31 crore against gross selling of Rs 16412.92 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 2278.61 crore in equities.

In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 3709.09 crore with gross sales of Rs 3645.95 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 63.14 crore in debt.

Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net sellers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 73.83 crore, they stood at net buyers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 246.86 crore, while net sellers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 109.89 crore.

In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 9.91 crore against gross selling of Rs 36.90 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net sellers of Rs 26.99 crore in hybrid segment.
