Global Defence Industries’ subsidiary -- Globe Forge has commenced commercial operations/ production at its state-of-the-art artillery shell manufacturing line in MIDC, Shirdi, Maharashtra, with effect from May 23, 2026.
This milestone marks a significant advancement in India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem and aligns with the Government of India’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, which aims to strengthen indigenous capabilities and enhance self-reliance in the defence sector. The commissioning of this facility underscores the company’s commitment to contributing to the nation’s strategic and defence requirements through advanced manufacturing and innovation.
