Godawari Power and Ispat to procure power from JPAL

Godawari Power and Ispat has received an approval for procurement of power from Jagdamba Power and Alloys (JPAL) for meeting its captive requirement in the Steel Plant of the company at Siltara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The board of directors at its meeting held on November 09, 2013 for the same.

Accordingly, in order to become captive consumers of JPAL, the board has also approved the investment in equity share capital of JPAL to the extent of 2,600,000 equity shares being 26% of the enhanced equity share capital of JPAL at par. The JPAL is having 25 MW Power Generation capacity at Silatara, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

Godawari Power and Ispat is engaged in the production of sponge iron, steel billets, ferro alloys, HB wires, oxygen, fly ash bricks and is also in the power business. GPIL is a flagship company of Raipur-based Hira Group of Industries, which is an integrated steel manufacturer and is having dominant presence in the long product segment of the steel industry; mainly into mild steel wire.
