Infosys, India's second-biggest software services exporter, has acquired the software solutions business of Gen-i as part of a partnership with the technology arm of Telecom Corp. of New Zealand to offer outsourcing services to their Australian clients.

Under the deal, Infosys will take over 110 employees and contractors from Gen-i, which would raise its New Zealand staff strength to up to 150 people. It also plans to add 15-30 new hires immediately. The partnership has significant potential to further grow New Zealand-based technology jobs.

Recently Infosys Technologies has partnered with Jordan-based The Housing Bank for Trade and Finance (HBTF) to provide core banking solution to power the bank's customer care agenda. Finacle will empower the bank’s 112 home country branches with a unified, future-proof technology platform delivering all the benefits of Straight through Processing and support for true 24X7 multi-channel and multi-currency transactions.
