Building on the recent launch of its Vallam plant, the Gangaikondan facility marks the next step in this progression bringing state-of-the-art automation and smart manufacturing to the table, while laying the groundwork for the company's planned vertical integration across cell, wafer, and ingot manufacturing. This is the company's newest manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu and represents a significant step in Vikram Solar's expansion journey, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening India's domestic solar manufacturing capabilities.
Spread across 6 lakh sq. ft., the newly built greenfield module manufacturing facility is expected to generate employment for more than 1,500 skilled professionals. The investment supports regional industrial development while expanding India's clean energy manufacturing base. It is a highly automated plant built to the latest standards in module manufacturing. As a next-generation smart factory, the plant combines advanced automation with digital manufacturing technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability.
