Varun Beverages' arm to acquire DFIL Kenya business

Varun Beverages’ wholly-owned subsidiary -- VBL Industries (Kenya) has entered into a Business Transfer Agreement to acquire the business in Devyani Food Industries (Kenya) (DFIL Kenya), a promoter group company, for a purchase consideration of $32 million (around Rs 305.0 crore, 1 USD = Rs 95.30). The agreement is to acquire the value- added dairy Beverages, Juices and Packaged Drinking Water of DFIL Kenya together with all assets associated with the business as a going concern. The transaction is expected to be completed on or before August 1, 2026. 

Varun Beverages is the second largest franchisee in the world (outside US) of carbonated soft drinks (CSDs) and non-carbonated beverages (NCBs) sold under trademarks owned by PepsiCo and a key player in the beverage industry.
