Nifty ends flat with positive bias on Monday

13 Jul 2026 Evaluate

Indian equity benchmark -- Nifty ended flat with positive bias on Monday. Index made a gap-down start, as renewed military strikes between US-Iran in West Asia threatened energy supply disruptions in the region. But soon, index started trimming losses as some support came with foreign fund inflow and optimism over ongoing Q1 earning season. As per exchange data, foreign institutional investors bought equities worth Rs 2,603.72 on July 10, 2026. Besides, traders were optimistic, as India and New Zealand elevated their bilateral relationship to a 'Strategic Partnership' and adopted the 'India-New Zealand Strategic Partnership: Roadmap to 2030', setting out an ambitious framework to deepen cooperation across trade, agriculture, security, innovation and people-to-people ties over the next four years. In second half of the session, Nifty traded near the neutral line and ended the session in positive territory.

Traders were seen piling up positions in IT, Media and Consumer Durables stocks, while selling was witnessed in FMCG, Cement and Metal. The top gainers from the F&O segment were Kalyan Jewellers India, Tata Consultancy Services and HCL Technologies. On the other hand, the top losers were Bharat Dynamics, Indian Bank and GE Vernova T&D India. In the index option segment, maximum OI continues to be seen in the 24900 - 25100 calls and 23900 - 24100 puts indicating this is the trading range expectation.
