Spandana Sphoorty Financial has informed regarding untimely demise of Abanti Mitra (DIN: 02305893), Chairperson and Independent Director of the Company on July 13, 2026. Mitra had been associated with the Company since 2012. She was first appointed as a Director of the Company for the period from November 20, 2012, to November 01, 2016. Subsequently, she had been serving as an Independent Director of the Company since May 4, 2017, and as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors from November 22, 2021. Mitra played a critical role during challenging phases of the Company. Her contribution consistently provided strategic insights, industry best practices, and hands-on support to manage the affairs of the Company during her association. The sudden and unexpected passing away of Mitra will be an irreparable loss to the Company. The Board of Directors and Employees of the Company convey their deep sympathy, sorrow and condolences to her family.
