Asian markets traded mixed in early deals on Thursday, with the caution amidst soaring crude oil prices and global selloffs in semiconductor and technology stocks. Participants sidelined ahead of the critical quarterly earnings release from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC). Bucking the trend, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng soared in the session.

Hang Seng surged by 473.90 points 1.88% to 25,155.00, Taiwan weighted up by 57.92 points or 0.13% to 45,689.51, Jakarta Composite added by 27.63 points or 0.46% to 6,069.60, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI index jumped by 9.88 points or 0.58% to 1,723.64
