Physical rubber prices showed some weakness on Thursday due to lack of genuine buyers and sellers in local trading houses. Further, drop in the domestic futures market and scattered transactions too influenced rubber prices.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety remained unchanged at Rs 158/ kg, while RSS-5 variety weakened to Rs 149/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 149.50/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of November delivery expired at Rs 157 compared to its previous close of Rs 158.07, while December delivery closed at Rs 159.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 160 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
