Chemplast Sanmar has informed that there was minor fire incident on the morning of July 17, 2026 at about 10.30 AM at one of its plants, Ethylene-Di-Chloride (EDC) manufacturing plant of its Karaikal facility- Puducherry. No one was injured and there are no casualties. The impact of the fire incident is being assessed on the equipment, instruments, and electrical installation in the EDC plant. The Company is taking all necessary measures to restore operations at the EDC plant at the earliest and will provide further updates as and when material developments occur. The details required under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, read with Para B (6) of Part A of Schedule III thereof and SEBI Master Circular No. HO/49/14/14(7)2025-CFDPOD2/I/3762/2026 dated January 30, 2026 is enclosed as Annexure – A.
