Bond yields trade lower on Tuesday

Bond yields traded lower on Tuesday despite hopes for diplomatic progress between the United States and Iran to end the conflict in the Middle East. 

In the global market, U.S. Treasury yields fell on Monday after the U.S. and Iran halted hostilities in the Middle East over the weekend, pushing energy prices lower. Furthermore, Oil prices extended losses on Tuesday as hopes for renewed talks between the United States and Iran continued to ease concerns over a broader disruption to Middle East crude supplies 

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 1 basis points lower at 6.76% from its previous close of 6.77% on Monday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.41% from its previous close of 6.42% on Monday.
