06 Aug 2026 Evaluate

The Indian rupee weakened against the US dollar on Thursday, as lower crude oil prices were offset by lingering geopolitical risks. While, foreign fund outflows and strengthening American currency overseas weighed on the domestic currency. Foreign Institutional Investors offloaded equities worth Rs 943.42 crore on a net basis on Wednesday, exchange data showed.

The partially convertible currency is currently trading at 95.22, weaker by 14 paise from its previous close of 95.08 on Wednesday. The currency touched a high and low of 95.2275 and 95.1225 respectively.
