Hathway Cable declines on reporting net loss of Rs 44.44 crore in Q2

Hathway Cable & Datacom is currently trading at Rs. 249.00, down by 5.40 points or 2.12 % from its previous closing of Rs. 254.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 254.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 256.00 and Rs. 249.00 respectively. So far 1543 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 306.00 on 19-Dec-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 227.05 on 26-Feb-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 267.95 and Rs. 254.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3800.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 48.63 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 47.05 % and 4.32 % respectively.

Hathway Cable & Datacom has reported a net loss of Rs 44.44 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2013 as compared to a net loss of Rs 1.78 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income from operation of the company has increased by 66.27% at Rs 220.28 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 132.48 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

It offers analog and digital cable television services across 125 cities and towns and high-speed cable broadband services across 18 cities, operating in geographical regions which it believes to constitute important markets for advertisers and broadcasters.
