FIIs stood as net buyers in equities as per August 17 data: NSDL

17 Aug 2026 Evaluate

The FIIs as per Monday's data were net buyers in both equity and debt segments, according to data released by the NSDL.

In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 17038.70 crore against gross selling of Rs 12926.71 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 4111.99 crore in equities.

In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 2407.87 crore with gross sales of Rs 2244.28 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 163.59 crore in debt.

Of the total debt, FIIs stood as net sellers in Debt-General Limit segment at Rs 727.55 crore, they stood at net buyers in Debt-VRR segment at Rs 428.60 crore, while net buyers in Debt-FAR segment at Rs 462.54 crore.

In the hybrid segment, the gross buying was of Rs 142.15 crore against gross selling of Rs 37.67 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 104.48 crore in hybrid segment.
