Asian markets traded mostly higher in early deals on Friday, despite a negative lead from Wall Street. Brent crude prices remained above $93 per barrel mark due to investor concerns over planned US sanctions against Iran. These strict measures have heightened jitters regarding the potential disruption of the Strait of Hormuz. Hang Seng rose on softer local inflation and strong tech as well as financial rally.

Hang Seng up by 207.51 points or 0.80% to 25,906.00, Straits Times rose by 7.95 points or 0.14% to 5,679.86, Taiwan weighted lifted by 109.85 points or 0.24% to 45,043.59, KOSPI Index surged by 70.02 points or 1.02% to 6,922.60, Jakarta Composite widened by 33.99 points or 0.52% to 6,535.58, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI index enlarged by 0.58 points or 0.03% to 1,737.29.

On the flip side, Nikkei down by 186.79 points or 0.28% to 66,030.00 and Shanghai Composite dipped by 8.26 points or 0.21% to 3,895.46.
