Bond yields traded lower on Friday as investors stayed on the sidelines ahead of a RBI-managed weekly debt auction later in the day.

In the global market, Bond yields climbed on Thursday, coming back from the pullback they saw the previous day after the Treasury Department announced an intervention aimed at easing pressure on longer-dated government debt. Furthermore, Oil prices fell on Friday, cooling slightly from one-month highs, after the U.S. said it will impose its strictest ever economic sanctions on Iran.

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.86% from its previous close of 6.87% on Thursday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.51% from its previous close of 6.52% on Thursday.
