JTL Industries’ arm plans Rs 15 crore capex to double narrow-width HR coil capacity

24 Aug 2026 Evaluate

JTL Industries’ subsidiary -- JTL Engineering has planned to undertake a capital expenditure of around Rs 15 crore to expand its narrow-width HR coil manufacturing capacity. The planned expansion will double JTL Engineering’s HR coil manufacturing capacity from the current 5,000 MT per month to 10,000 MT per month. The expanded facility is expected to be commissioned in Q4 FY27.

With the proposed expansion, JTL Engineering will enhance its capability to manufacture wider narrow-width HR coils. The maximum coil width will increase from the current 9 inches (228.6 mm) to 11 inches (279.4 mm). The increased width capability will broaden the range of narrow-width HR coils that can be manufactured by the company, enabling JTL Engineering to address a wider set of product specifications and customer requirements.

JTL Engineering’s manufacturing process uses sponge iron and steel scrap as key raw materials. The use of scrap supports efficient utilisation of raw materials and forms an important part of the Company’s approach towards recycling and more circular manufacturing.

JTL Industries is amongst the fastest growing steel tube manufacturers, with a Registered office located in Chandigarh. The company has manufacturing facilities in Punjab, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh.
