Fujiyama Power Systems has received approval for establishment of 1 GWh Tubular Batteries manufacturing facility at Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, with an estimated investment of around Rs 20 crore. The proposed facility is a replacement of erstwhile 1.3 GWh Tubular Battery capacity at the company’s Bawal Facility, which was damaged in a fire incident that occurred on May 6, 2026. The proposed capacity is expected to be commissioned and commence commercial operations by Q3 FY 2026-27.

Additionally, the company has received approval for enhancement of Lithium Batteries manufacturing capacities by 1 GWh at the Ratlam Plant, Madhya Pradesh, with an estimated investment of around Rs 5 crore. The proposed capacity is expected to be commissioned and commence commercial operations by Q2 FY2026-27. The proposed capacity addition is aimed at strengthening the company’s lithium battery manufacturing capabilities, enabling it to cater to the anticipated market demand and supporting its growth plans in the energy storage segment. Upon completion of the earlier announced 2 GWh expansion and the proposed additional 1 GWh capacity, the lithium battery manufacturing capacity at the Ratlam Plant is expected to reach around 3.5 GWh.

The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held on August 24, 2026, has approved the same.
