In the global market, Treasury yields were little changed on Thursday as investors geared up for the start of the Federal Reserve’s closely watched annual economic symposium in Jackson Hole, the first under Chair Kevin Warsh. Furthermore, Oil prices fell slightly on Friday as markets parsed reports that the U.S. was close to gaining access to Venezuela’s oil reserves, while focus was also on U.S.-Iran wrangling over the Strait of Hormuz.
Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 1 basis point higher at 6.90% from its previous close of 6.89% on Thursday.
The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 8 basis points higher at 6.56% from its previous close of 6.48% on Thursday.
