Alpha Wave Global sells 1.69% stake in Lenskart Solutions

Alpha Wave Global has sold 1.69% stake in Lenskart Solutions, through open market transactions worth around Rs 1856.78 crore. The Alpha Wave Global, through its affiliates -- Alpha Wave Ventures II LP, Alpha Wave Ventures and Alpha Wave Ventures LP, has offloaded around 2.95 crore shares at an average price of Rs 630 apiece. 

Meanwhile, mutual Funds managed by ICICI Prudential, SBI, WhiteOak Capital, Edelweiss, Kotak Mahindra, Motilal Oswal, Nippon India, and National Pension System (NPS) Trust bought shares of the company. Among insurers, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Bajaj Life Insurance also participated in the transaction. 

Other buyers included JP Morgan Chase entity Copthall Mauritius, Goldman Sachs, Millennium Management -- through its arm Integrated Core Strategies (Asia) -- Morgan Stanley, Societe Generale, Viridian Asset Management, BofA Securities, Ghisallo Capital Management, Susquehanna International Group, and Kuwait Investment Authority. 

Lenskart Solutions is a technology-driven eyewear company with integrated operations spanning designing, manufacturing, branding and retailing of eyewear products. It primarily sells prescription eyeglasses, sunglasses, and other products such as contact lenses and eyewear accessories, under multiple brands and sub-brands.
