Adani Ports reports over 19% growth in cargo volume in August 2026

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) has handled its highest ever monthly cargo volume of 50 million metric tonnes (MMT) in August 2026, registering growth of over 19% year-on-year (YoY), as compared to 41.9 MMT a year earlier. During August 2026, all-round cargo growth was driven by 25% YoY increase in and 15% YoY rise in containers. Further, cumulative cargo handled during the first five months of FY27 reached to 234.4 MMT, grew 16% YoY led by 17% and 15% YoY growth in dry cargo and containers, respectively. 

The company’s Logistics rail volume stood at 54,131 TEUs, representing a sequential increase of 6%, during August 2026. Cumulative logistics rail volume stood at 2,50,461 TEUs during the first five months of FY27, a fall of 33% YoY.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone is the largest commercial ports operator in India accounting for nearly one-fourth of the cargo movement in the country.
