NMDC to start commercial production of thermal coal by Q3FY27

NMDC is planning to start the commercial production of thermal coal by October-December period of current fiscal year 2026-27 (Q3FY27). Additionally, the company is planning to start developing a coking coal mine within FY27 to begin production as early as FY28.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
