Gopal Snacks has commissioned a new Besan manufacturing unit at its existing Nagpur manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. The unit has an installed capacity of 19,642 MT per annum and is aimed at further strengthening the company’s backward-integrated manufacturing operations.
With this addition, the company will reduce the transportation of Besan from its Rajkot manufacturing locations to Nagpur. This will lower transportation costs, simplify material movement and further integrate the Nagpur operations with the company’s in-house manufacturing model. As the capex is largely one-time in nature, the unit is expected to deliver recurring cost benefits over the coming years, improving the overall efficiency of the Nagpur operations.
