Bond yields trade lower on Wednesday

Bond yields traded lower on Wednesday as investors braced for a closely watched Federal Reserve rate decision later in the day. 

In the global market, US 10-year Treasury note yields climbed on Tuesday to its highest level since July 2007 as investors strongly anticipate a hike in the Federal Reserve interest rates tomorrow. Furthermore, Oil prices fell on Wednesday as reports that Saudi Arabia was offering additional crude cargoes via Oman eased concerns about the scale of Middle East supply disruptions. 

Back home, the yields on new 10-year Government Stock were trading 1 basis point lower at 7.06% from its previous close of 7.07% on Tuesday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.78% from its previous close of 6.79% on Tuesday.
