Bond yields traded higher on Thursday after the US Federal Reserve raised rates in over three years and signalled further hikes.

In the global market, shorter-dated U.S. Treasury yields rose on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates and flagged further increases in borrowing costs in the coming months to control inflation. Furthermore, Oil prices extended recent losses on Thursday, as Saudi Arabia reportedly moved to ease supply constraints, although persistent tensions in the Middle East have kept crude above $100 a barrel.

Back home, the yields on new 10-year Government Stock were trading 2 basis points higher at 7.07% from its previous close of 7.05% on Wednesday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 2 basis points lower at 6.78% from its previous close of 6.76% on Wednesday.
