Copper futures settled higher on Thursday due to ongoing mine supply shortages, growing demand from artificial intelligence infrastructure, and increased physical restocking by Chinese buyers. However, concerns about further tightening in US monetary policy capped additional gains in copper prices.

Copper futures for December delivery rose $0.1525 to settle at $6.6615 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was up by 1.82% at $14,491.50 a ton.
