Bond yields traded flat on Monday, as traders assessed the potential impact of Middle East supply risks against diplomatic efforts to end the US-Iran conflict.

In the global market, US Treasury yields moved higher on Friday as investors continued to look for clues on the trajectory of monetary policy. Furthermore, Oil prices slid to their lowest in more than a week on Monday as investors hoped for diplomatic progress on the Iran war due to this week’s UN meeting and eyed a partial recovery in shipments from Saudi Arabia despite ongoing attacks by Yemen’s Houthis.

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading flat with its previous close of 7.06% on Friday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 1 basis point lower at 6.76% from its previous close of 6.77% on Friday.
