KOSPI soared in the session as global institutional capital poured into memory chip giants Samsung and SK Hynix, riding the wave of Wall Street's overnight AI hardware rally. Japan’s Nikkei is closed for a holiday.

Straits Times up by 1.78 points or 0.03% to 5,700.67, Hang Seng rose by 78.29 points or 0.31% to 25,121.00, Taiwan weighted added by 206.80 points or 0.43% to 47,925.64, KOSPI Index lifted by 70.89 points or 1.01% to 7,078.61, Shanghai Composite climbed by 8.73 points or 0.22% to 3,958.64, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI index jumped by 13.17 points or 0.79% to 1,680.11

On the flip side, Jakarta Composite down by 60.95 points or 0.95% to 6,323.78 .
