Physical Rubber prices witnessed gains on Tuesday due to a severe supply crunch caused by extreme weather in major producing regions, while surging crude oil prices also increased the production costs of petroleum-based synthetic rubber and boosted up natural rubber demand.

Spot prices for the RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 281/kg to its previous closing of Rs 280/kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained to Rs 276/kg to its previous closing of Rs 275/kg.
