Bharti Airtel rings loud in early deals on the BSE

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 326.75, up by 3.10 points or 0.96 % from its previous closing of Rs. 323.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 325.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 327.45 and Rs 324.45 respectively. So far 33449 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 373.50 on 01-Nov-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs 266.95 on 05-Apr-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 346.55 and Rs 318.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 130555.09 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.23% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 24.76% and 10.01% respectively.

Bharti Airtel, through its wholly owned subsidiary Airtel M Commerce Services (AMSL), has introduced mobile phone-based power bill payment service in Chhattisgarh. This service will enable the electricity consumers in the state to make the payment through the mobile phones.

After Bihar, Chhattisgarh would be the first state where the company has launched the service to pay electricity bill through mobile phones. The Airtel had inked an agreement with the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company (CSPDCL) to start the service.
