Physical Rubber prices extend gains on Saturday

Physical Rubber prices extended gains on Saturday due to strong demand from tyre manufacturers and a severe supply crunch in the market. Moreover, higher production costs of petroleum-based synthetic rubber also boosted natural rubber demand.

Spot prices for the RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 288/kg to its previous closing of Rs 287.50/kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained to Rs 282/kg to its previous closing of Rs 281.50/kg.
