Physical Rubber prices trade higher on Monday

Physical Rubber prices extended gains on Monday due to robust demand from tyre manufacturers and a severe supply crunch in the market, while rising production costs of petroleum-based synthetic rubber also boosted natural rubber demand.

Spot prices for the RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 288.50/kg to its previous closing of Rs 288/kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained to Rs 282.50/kg to its previous closing of Rs 282/kg.
