Sudeep Pharma’s new pharma greenfield manufacturing facility at 179 Nandesari, Gujarat, has secured approval from the Gujarat Food and Drug Control Administration (FDA). The approval authorises the company to commence manufacturing operations at the site. The approval plays a significant role in the company's growth journey and confirms that the facility's manufacturing systems, quality controls and compliance framework meet the requirements for commencing manufacturing operations. It reinforces the company's commitment to strengthening manufacturing capabilities, quality standards and regulatory compliance.
With an installed annual capacity of 51,200 MT, the facility represents an important addition to the company's manufacturing infrastructure and will support its growing business requirements across domestic and international markets. Commercial supplies from this facility are expected to commence in H2 FY27, following the completion of customer qualification processes. Around 60% of the facility's capacity is allocated to the company's existing Pharma, Food & Nutrition portfolio, while the remaining capacity will cater to newer product categories, including phosphates, glycinates, gluconates and citrates.
The facility will also provide dedicated capacity for higher-value ingredients, reinforcing the company's focus on portfolio diversification and strengthening its presence in regulated markets. The additional capacity will enable the company to manufacture new-age, high-value molecules such as bisglycinates, for which capacity at the existing mother plant was constrained. This will allow the company to scale up production, cater to growing customer requirements and capitalise on emerging opportunities in specialised ingredients.
