Gold futures finish higher on safe haven appeal

27 Oct 2026 Evaluate
Gold futures finished higher on Monday, kindled by the safe haven appeal amidst escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Gold-backed ETF inflows experienced a massive surge to a four-year high level. Reduced bets on immediate Fed interest rate hikes after a brief pullback in crude oil prices, also buoyed the yellow metal investments.

Gold futures for December delivery up by $30.50 or 0.76% to settle at $4,038.40 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold rose by $7.43 or 0.19% to $4,024.14 an ounce.
