Venus Remedies has bagged the UBM India Pharma Award for its flagship product, Elores, in the Excellence in Product Development category. The award was presented at a glittering ceremony in Mumbai on December 2. This is the second award for Elores in the first year of its launch, and the company is expecting this product to generate a revenue of around $100 million by 2017-18.
Launched in January this year, Elores is a novel antibiotic adjuvant entity that effectively counters serious hospital-acquired infections caused by multidrug-resistant extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) and metallo-beta-lactamase (MBL)-producing gram negative bacteria.
