Alstom T&D India bags two orders worth Rs 151 crore from GETCO

Alstom T&D India has bagged two contracts worth approximately Rs 151.00 crore (22 million euros) from Gujarat Energy Transmission Company (GETCO) to supply 400KV/220KV/66KV AIS substation on turnkey basis, located at Charanka and Sankhari, to evacuate power from Asia’s largest and Gujarat’s first dedicated solar park. The substations will also play a pivotal role in strengthening transmission network in the state of Gujarat by acting as the evacuation and nodal grid substations. Additionally it will also improve the energy flow in the western region of India.

Both the orders involves manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of 400 KV substations with Alstom’s key products like 400kV, 220 KV & 66 KV air insulated switchgear and related equipment, SCADA automation system along with the civil works. All equipment will be manufactured by Alstom’s world-class manufacturing facilities in India.

Alstom T&D India is part of Alstom Grid, a global player in electrical grids. The company’s India operations account for over 13% of overall revenues garnered by Alstom Grid’s global operations. Apart from India business, other major contributors are the operations in France, the US, Germany and China.
