HOEC leads the gainer list of ‘BSE 200’ space

Hindustan Oil Exploration Company (HOEC) is currently trading at Rs. 123.35, up by 5.45 points or 4.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 117.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 118.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 124.90 and Rs. 118.50 respectively. So far 5,27,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 251.25 on 05-Jan-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 99.30 on 05-Oct-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 124.90 and Rs. 102.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,609.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 47.18% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.77% and 45.05% respectively.

Hindustan Oil Exploration Company’s joint venture (JV) firm Hardy Exploration & Production (India) Inc., (Hardy), the Operator of the PY-3 Field has temporarily shut PY-3 field. The company is awaiting Management Committee approval of the award of a contract for the field's floating production system (FPS). The company is working closely with stake-holders to secure the necessary approvals and recommence production as soon as possible.

Hindustan Oil Exploration Company was the first private company in India to enter into field of oil and gas exploration. The company’s operational activities commenced in 1991 with the Government of India announcing the fourth round of exploration bidding for private sector participation.
