Container Corporation rises on plan to operate cargo terminal at Mumbai Airport

Container Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 727.00, up by 9.80 points or 1.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 717.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 722.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 733.00 and Rs. 716.65 respectively. So far 1164 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 820.00 on 04-Jun-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 602.00 on 28-Dec-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 745.00 and Rs. 715.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14155.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.09% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.86% and 3.06% respectively.

Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has incorporated a company ‘Concor Air’ that will run the cargo terminal at the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai from January 1. Conor Air will handle all international cargo.

Mumbai International Airport (MIAL), which has exclusive rights to operate cargo terminals at the airport, had invited bids to appoint a concessionaire to handle international cargo operations for three years.

CONCOR was established in 1988 and works mainly in three verticals -- cargo terminal, terminal operator and warehouse operator.
