Congress to probe snooping charges against Gujarat government

26 Dec 2013 Evaluate

A fuming Bharatiya Janata Party on lambasted the Congress after the Union Cabinet decided to probe the alleged snooping charges against the Gujarat government. Accusing the Congress of targeting its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the BJP said that such a move smacked of witch-hunt. Party chief Rajnath Singh said that the Congress has always targeted Modi and there is nothing new. Congress has been doing its best to harass Modi. Let there be an inquiry, the facts will come out.

Party spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman said that BJP will meet all the challenges. Public opinion through the election results show that people have lost faith in the Union government. This is a fascist Congress with its Emergency mindset trying to investigate a matter which is already being probed by the Gujarat government and added that Congress is not able to compete with Modi politically so it is engaging itself in a witch-hunt.

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh said that he would like to congratulate the central government. The committee should have been formed long back because it was a clear case of violation of the Indian Telegraph and IT act and he is sure that the committee will produce the report at the earliest.
