Shopper's Stop is planning to raise prices of private labels by 10-12% from July 1, 2011. Recently, the company wholly owned subsidiary --Crossword Bookstores-- opened up one 'Crossword' franchisee store at Udaipur. With the opening of this store, the company in total now has 74 ‘Crossword’ stores.

Shoppers Stop is engaged in the retailing business. It runs a chain of departmental stores with brands including Shopper’s Stop, Home Stop, Crossword, Cafes and Restaurants etc.
