ACC moves higher on rise in cement output for November

ACC is currently trading at Rs 1182.35, up by 11.60 points or 0.99% from its previous closing of Rs 1170.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 1170.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1187.10 and Rs 1170.00 respectively. So far 6127 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 1233.00 on 14-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 917.00 on 20-Jun-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 1197.75 and Rs 1132.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 21980.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.30% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.80% and 18.90% respectively.

Cement manufacturer, ACC’s cement production in November 2011 stood at 1.83 million tonne, as against 1.76 million tonne in the year-ago period. The company's dispatches in the month stood at 1.83 million tonne, as against 1.74 million tonne in November 2010.

For the January-November period this year, its production stood at 21.63 million tonne as against 19.31 million tonne in the year-ago, while its dispatches for the same period stood at 21.59 million tonne as against 19.24 million tonne in the corresponding period of 2010.

ACC is India’s foremost manufacturer of cement and concrete. The company’s operations are spread throughout the country with 14 modern cement factories, more than 30 ready mix concrete plants, 20 sales offices, and several zonal offices.
