Physical rubber prices declined on Friday on lack of quantity buyers in the market even at prevailing levels.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to Rs 161/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 162/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 154/ kg compared to its previous close of Rs 155/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of January delivery dropped to Rs 158.65 compared to its previous closing of Rs 162.06, while February delivery closed at Rs 160.95 compared to its previous close of Rs 164.60 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
