Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company (BAGIC), a joint venture company between Bajaj Finserv and Allianz SE has reportedly launched an all women’s branch at its headquarters. This new branch will start operations with a team of five women employees, and other 10 women agents who have already been recruited.
Further, the company is planning to expand the concept across the country if this pilot is successful. The company is also planning recruit and train 100 women agents in Pune over the next one year, and grow this number to 15,000 across 30 locations over the next five years
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company is a joint venture between Bajaj Finserv and Allianz SE. Both enjoy a reputation of expertise, stability and strength. BAGIC received the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) certificate of Registration on May 2, 2001 to conduct General Insurance business (including Health Insurance business) in India. The Company has an authorized and paid up capital of Rs 110 crores. Bajaj Finserv holds 74% and the remaining 26% is held by Allianz, SE.
