Physical rubber prices declined on Saturday as there were no buyers is the spot market even at lower levels. Transactions continued to be dull.
Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to Rs 152/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 155/ kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 144/ kg compared to its previous close of Rs 146/ kg.
In the futures market, contract of January delivery dropped to Rs 151.50 compared to its previous closing of Rs 154.77, while February delivery closed at Rs 153.90 compared to its previous close of Rs 156.97 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
