Maharashtra Scooters declines on reporting 13.83% fall in Q3 net profit

Maharashtra Scooters is currently trading at Rs. 424.00, down by 10.40 points or 2.39 % from its previous closing of Rs. 434.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 428.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 438.50 and Rs. 424.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 535.00 on 30-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 305.00 on 08-Apr-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 450.50 and Rs. 415.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 484.57 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.00 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.46 % and 38.54 % respectively.

Maharashtra Scooters has reported 13.83% fall in its net profit at Rs 1.37 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2013 as compared to Rs 1.59 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 22.56% at Rs 4.05 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 5.23 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.

Maharashtra Scooters (MSL) was incorporated on June 11, 1975. It holds 3.35% stake in Bajaj Auto in addition to 4.88% stake in Bajaj Auto Finance. It is a joint sector enterprise promoted by Western Maharashtra Development Corporation (27%) and Bajaj Auto (24%).
