Jeera futures traded up on NCDEX due to some improvement in overseas demand as other leading producing countries are supplying less. However supplies from the new season crop are expected to hit the market from mid-February capped gains.
The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 12602.50, up by 0.48% or Rs 60.00 from its previous closing of Rs 12542.50. The open interest of the contract stood at 6813.00 lots.
The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 12680.00, up by 0.48% or Rs 60.00 from its previous closing of Rs 12620.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 2298.00 lots on NCDEX.
