Mahindra Ugine Steel Company has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2013.
The company has reported around eighty seven fold jump in its net profit at Rs 184.48 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 2.13 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has decreased by 5.49% at Rs 192.30 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 203.46 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.
Mahindra Ugine Steel Company is engaged in the manufacturing of alloy & special steel through Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) route & caters to the automotive, engineering, bearing & other industries. The company manufactures a wide array of products including skin components, underbody components, critical assemblies, chassis components and car body sheet metal (Body in White) parts with a total capacity of 30,000 metric tons.
